ORANJESTAD – Aruba Airport Authority (AAA) has confirmed that airport operations were temporarily halted as a precautionary measure following a security-related situation involving an aircraft.
According to the airport authority, established safety and security protocols were immediately activated. The situation is currently being handled by the appropriate authorities. At this time, there is no indication of an immediate threat to public safety, and all measures taken are part of standard procedures to ensure the safety of passengers, airport staff, and partners.
As part of the response, passenger access to the terminal was temporarily suspended while the matter is being addressed. Aruba Airport Authority stated that it is working closely with all relevant stakeholders to manage the situation and enable a safe and orderly return to normal operations as soon as possible.
AAA emphasized that safety remains its highest priority and expressed appreciation for the cooperation and professionalism of all parties involved.
