Oranjestad, 6th January 2022 – This Thursday morning, management of De Palm Tours and representatives of FTA signed the company’s first Collective Agreement for the Bus Department employees.
De Palm Group of companies employ 360 associates throughout their various entities. This family-owned company has been a pioneer in Aruba’s Tourism Industry since 1960, during which strong employee relationships has been one of the pillars of the enterprise’s success. Since October of last year management of De Palm Tours sat at the table with FTA, which represents a group of 52 employees of the Bus Department.
The negotiations were conducted in a positive spirit, with both parties demonstrating understanding for the unprecedented economic circumstances and tough times we are facing. De Palm Management is satisfied that a mutual agreement was reached in a short period of time, even though there is still a challenging road ahead. The company is hopeful that with this agreement, the employees in one of its core departments will rally together towards this much needed recovery.
