Paul Gielen elected as AHATA’s Chairman for 2022

Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association (AHATA) elected a new Board of Directors for the year 2022 during the first general assembly. The Board of Directors was elected by members of AHATA during the general assembly that took place in November 2021. Normally the election takes place in January, but due to the COVID wave, it was moved to March. The new Board consists of 13 members; 11 active members and 2 allied members, and Paul Gielen, General Manager of Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort & Casino, remained elected  as Chairman.  The board works in conjunction with the President and CEO, Tisa LaSorte, to establish the Association’s strategy.  The principal goal of AHATA is to help secure a productive tourism industry to sustain Aruba’s economy.
