EAGLE BEACH – The celebration of Housekeeping Week at the resort was a delightful event filled with appreciation, recognition, and warmth. The festivities began with an American-style breakfast in the ballroom, accompanied by a blessing for the day and the department, reflecting a tone of gratitude and unity for the week.

Members of the executive committee and Housekeeping Manager Cristina Galindo delivered inspiring speeches expressing their gratitude for the hard work and dedication that the entire housekeeping team consistently provides. Their words resonated deeply with everyone present, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and delivering professional excellence.

A highlight of the celebration was the special guest, Giancarla van der Biezen from HBN Church, who provided a spiritual perspective on the value of service and hospitality, touching the hearts of all in attendance.

The week also consisted of a Team Building Conference presented by the dynamic Belkis Moreu. Through interactive activities and discussions, the Housekeeping team strengthened their bond and learned valuable lessons about collaboration and communication.

Fun and entertainment were abundant, with Tyson Croes hosting a series of enjoyable games with attractive prizes. These activities fostered a competitive spirit within the team and created memorable moments with plenty of photos.

The celebration concluded with a Road Jam Party Bus, where the music of Calipso King played on the bus. The journey, in a festive atmosphere, had everyone dancing and singing together.

As Housekeeping Week came to a close, an Award Lunch was organized to recognize and reward excellence. Surprise awards were given to the winners of Best Practices and 7 Habits of Hospitality, demonstrating La Cabana’s commitment to acknowledging and appreciating outstanding contributions.

The week ended on a high note with karaoke, singing together to the tune of a memorable Housekeeping Week, eagerly anticipating the next one in 2024.
