Palm Beach. – At the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino, beautiful stays start with fresh and comfortable spaces, entrusted to the loving care of the resort’s housekeeping department. This dedicated team works tirelessly to infuse each day with a sparkling and immaculate ambiance, ensuring guests’ experience is consistently exceptional.
Each year, in celebration of the week, a detailed program of activities, internal and external, is compiled, in an effort to show appreciation to the department’s great contributions to the smooth operation of the resort.
The activities staged are designed to entertain, reward and pamper the hard-working housekeepers, and include daily tokens of appreciation, starting with a Monday morning breakfast, and culminating with a three-hour Friday, Happy-Hour, bus party. Mid-week the housekeepers enjoyed cupcakes, bingo, pizza, and ice cream, in gratitude for the high standards of cleanliness which they adhere to and uphold, in rooms and public spaces.
International Housekeeping Week, IEHA, is celebrated worldwide since 1981, as one week set aside for all to focus attention and recognition on the professional housekeepers working in hotels, resorts, and other public facilities, maintaining a cleaner, safer, healthier environment for us all, each and every day. Thank you for your hard work and commitment, says Bibi Rampersuad, Director of Housekeeping and for helping make stays at the resort memorable for guests.
International Housekeepers Week has recently been baptized International Housekeepers and Environmental Services Week, recognizing the efforts of diligent custodial staff members, in general.
