Art Week Aruba 2024: A Vibrant Celebration of Creativity in San Nicolás

San Nicolaas – Aruba is gearing up for a week-long celebration of creativity, culture, and community as Art Week Aruba 2024 kicks off on September 2nd. Organized by Tito Bolívar, this vibrant event transforms San Nicolás, known as the street art capital of the Caribbean, into a lively hub of artistic expression, drawing muralists and creatives from around the world.

“We’re excited to welcome artists like Jemis, Rosie Woods, Studio Hefter, and Carlos de Rosillo, among others, to paint new murals across the city,” said Bolívar. “Art Week is not just about art—it’s about bringing people together for an unforgettable experience.”

The festivities begin with the “Art Table” on September 2nd, where over 200 participants will engage in a massive art workshop, combining the communal spirit of a long table with the creativity of art. Throughout the week, a series of unique events will keep attendees entertained and inspired.

Tuesday will feature the annual “Art Talk,” where discussions will stray from traditional art topics, offering a refreshing take on various subjects. Wednesday promises to dazzle with “Art Fashion,” showcasing the work of designers from Japan, Medellín, Curacao, and Aruba, blending fashion and art in a spectacular display.

Thursday is reserved for a special VIP night, a tribute to the supporters, guests, and partners who make Art Week possible. The weekend will culminate in the much-anticipated Aruba Art Fair from Friday to Sunday. With 100 artists displaying their works, along with pop-up restaurants and nonstop entertainment, San Nicolás will be the place to be.

Bolívar encourages visitors to join the festivities. “If you’re in Aruba from September 2nd to 8th, come to San Nicolás—where the magic, art, entertainment, and life are happening.”

Tickets for the various events, including the Art Table, Art Fashion, and the Aruba Art Fair, are available at artweekaruba.com. Prices range from $15 per day for the Art Fair to $60 for both the Art Table and Art Fashion.
