ORANJESTAD — At Cas di Cultura, the experimental theater piece ‘White Rabbit, Red Rabbit’ can be seen on March 13 at 7 p.m., which was written in 2010 by Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour. It starts with a script in a sealed envelope, the actors have not rehearsed beforehand, and there is no director. The protagonist that evening is Aruban Jair ‘Buddy’ Vesprey. The performance is orchestrated with Aurora Nova International Theater Booking from Germany. “This is a daring theatrical experiment and a strong reminder of the transboundary and transformative power of theatre,” Cas di Cultura writes. Since its premiere in 2011 at the Edinburgh and Summerworks festival, the piece has been translated into more than 25 languages and performed more than 1000 times.
