ORANJESTAD – On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of A.T.A. in Colombia, Jordan Schlipken, the director of A.T.A. Latino America, elaborated on the important position that Colombia holds for Aruba and the connection between the two countries. There is no doubt that Aruba and Colombia share economic and commercial, cultural, health, and, of course, tourism-related interests.

Over the past decades, the A.T.A. team has worked hard to create a successful legacy in promoting our island in the Colombian market, together with partners in the market. A.T.A. expects the number of visitors that Aruba will receive from Colombia and Latin America to continue growing in the coming year, considering the increase in flights and seats connecting Aruba with Bogota and Medellin, as well as the introduction of a new route between Aruba and Cali.

This success is the result of tireless work over the past 40 years and the confidence in the Aruba product. It is certainly important not to overlook the significant role played by the A.T.A. Colombia and Latin America team and former directors.

Jordan Schlipken looks ahead with the same determination to continue reaping the benefits of the strong relationship between Aruba and Colombia, particularly in the tourism and business sectors. Recently, Schlipken was appointed as a board member of Holland House for the period 2023-2024. Holland House’s main goal is to promote collaboration and cooperation between Dutch and Colombian businesses, thereby stimulating business opportunities between Colombia, Aruba, Curaçao, St. Maarten, and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

This is an important step in further strengthening the connection between Aruba and Colombia and signifies A.T.A.’s commitment to continue investing in the Colombian market, aiming to increase the number of visitors from Colombia and Latin America even further in the future, thus creating more diversification.
